Christmas Catering Budget KL: Costs Beyond Price Per Pax

The advertised buffet price is the most visible number when planning a corporate Christmas lunch. It is also only one part of an event budget. A reliable procurement estimate should distinguish the food package from the logistics and service arrangements needed at your venue.

Lux Catering's Christmas 2026 collection offers three festive buffet tiers: RM58 Christmas Classic, RM78 Christmas Celebration and RM99 Grand Christmas Feast, with a minimum of 30 pax. The correct starting point is the package that fits your guests; the next step is making sure the total quotation reflects the event requirements.

1. Guest count and menu tier

Headcount has a direct effect on the food subtotal. At 30 guests, for example, the food component of Christmas Classic is 30 × RM58 = RM1,740. At 50 guests, the same per-person menu would be 50 × RM58 = RM2,900. These are examples of menu-price multiplication, not complete event quotations.

The three tiers are genuinely different menus. RM58 includes roasted chicken and creamy garlic seafood; RM78 has a broader selection including chicken parmigiana, beef meatballs and baked macaroni and cheese; RM99 introduces premium dishes such as rack of lamb, assorted canapés and garlic butter seared seafood.

2. Buffet setup and equipment

Ask whether your proposal includes buffet tables, presentation, food warmers or chafing dishes, plates, cutlery, setup and dismantling. Some venues provide furniture; others require external arrangements. Never assume the menu rate automatically covers everything on the event floor.

3. Delivery and venue access

Transport depends on distance and logistics. A venue with restricted loading hours, security procedures or an upper-floor function space may need coordination beyond a simple ground-floor delivery. Share the full address and floor early.

4. Service crew and event duration

A small self-managed team lunch and a longer staffed corporate function have different needs. Confirm whether staff will be required to manage the buffet, support guests and clear the setup, and make the expected service hours explicit.

5. Optional changes

Dietary substitutions, additional dishes, beverage service or special presentation requests should be quoted before approval. This is particularly important if several internal stakeholders are reviewing the budget.

Ask for one complete quote

A useful quotation states the menu, pax, venue, service window, included equipment, logistics, manpower and any applicable taxes or other charges. That makes it much easier to obtain management approval and avoid confusion on event day.
