Corporate Lunch Delivery for Multi-Floor Offices in KL

One of the easiest ways to make a corporate lunch feel chaotic is to arrange food for the right headcount but overlook where it needs to go. In a multi-floor office, a single delivery can become several smaller distribution tasks, each with its own timing and access requirements.

For offices in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, individually packed bento meals may be easier to allocate across departments than a single shared buffet. Here is how to organise the process.

Confirm the headcount by location

Instead of providing only a total order quantity, break the order down by floor, department or meeting room. Note vegetarian or special meals separately and make sure the labels are easy for the onsite organiser to identify.

If your event has visitors or speakers in addition to staff, include them in the count. Late additions may be possible only subject to production capacity, so consolidate the list before confirming.

Agree on a single receiving point

In larger office buildings, the catering delivery team may not have unrestricted access to every floor. Decide whether the receiving point will be the lobby, loading area, pantry or event floor. Clarify who will meet the delivery team and whether security registration or a service lift booking is required.

Choose the meal format that suits the schedule

Lux Catering offers regular corporate bento menus and a smaller Express Bento collection. Express Bento is RM14.90 per set, uses compact one-compartment packaging, and requires at least 20 sets per selected flavour and two working days' confirmation. Regular corporate bento menus offer wider weekday choices and normally require at least three working days' notice.

For a multi-floor distribution, compact individual meals can reduce the need for serving utensils and queues. The choice still depends on your budget, presentation expectations and the actual meal preferences of your team.

Communicate the delivery-to-lunch gap

Tell the caterer when staff will begin eating—not only when the food can be accepted by reception. This is particularly important if departments have staggered lunch breaks. Food is best consumed within the indicated timeframe, so avoid arranging one very early delivery for a much later meal without discussing it.

Prepare a simple handover checklist

Make sure the receiving colleague knows the total number of packs, special meal count, delivery contact and final distribution plan. A ten-minute handover plan can prevent confusion after the delivery person has left.
